   You really need to provide a little more info. What kind of evergreen is it? If its a cedar it may not have gotten enough water, is it possible it got salt damage from road salt? If its a juniper did it get wind damage? Your dog using it as his toilet should not have killed it. How much of it is damaged?

   You need to find out what’s wrong with it and get a professional opinion as to what to do. Take a twig that shows problem to a nursery or greenhouse NOT HOME DEPOT OT LOWE’S, and ask.
